The Livingston County Republican Party (LCRP) along with Protect Our Republic will moderate a candidate forum for the Republican primary candidates running against Rep. Elissa Slotkin in February.
The forum for 8th Congressional candidates will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020, starting at 6:30 pm at Crystal Gardens, 5768 E. Grand River Ave., Howell, MI 48843. Doors will open at 6:00 pm.
Following the forum, the LCRP and Protect Our Republic is hosting a meet and greet with all five Republican candidates. All attendees of the candidate forum are invited to stay for the meet and greet where light appetizers and a cash bar will be available.
All five Republican challengers – Mike Detmer, Alan Hoover, Paul Junge, Kristina Lyke, and Nikki Snyder have confirmed their attendance and participation in the forum.
Following introductions from the candidates, there will be a question and answer session. Members of the public are welcome to submit questions for the forum at www.livingstonrepublicans.com/submit-a-question. Due to time constraints and the number of candidates, we cannot guarantee all questions submitted will be asked. Questions should be on issues important to Republican primary voters and applicable to all candidates.
