The Livingston County Republican Party is excited to announce, David A. Clarke Jr. will be the keynote speaker at our 2017 Annual Reagan Day Dinner on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Sheriff Clarke is currently serving in his fourth consecutive term as Sheriff of Milwaukee County in Wisconsin. In his last election in 2014 he was re-elected by 79% of Milwaukee County voters. Prior to becoming Sheriff, he served 24 years with the Milwaukee Police Department.
He is also the author of Cop Under Fire: Moving Beyond Hashtags of Race, Crime & Politics for a Better America, which tackles the issues of America’s growing racial tension, animosity toward law enforcement professionals, government corruption, and disregard for the constitutional process. Deeply rooted in his life story, he challenges Americans to stop blaming others; examine our problems honestly; take ownership of our family, community, and country; and turn to God for solutions.
In February 2015, the Conservative Political Action Conference presented Sheriff Clarke with the Charlton Heston Courage Under Fire Award; and he was also honored in May of 2013 with the Sheriff of the Year Award from the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association.
Sheriff Clarke is a frequent guest commentator for national new services and organizations regarding law enforcement, Second Amendment, immigration, and homeland security issues.
Livingston County Sheriff Michael J. Murphy will serve as the Master of Ceremonies that evening. Michael J. Murphy is currently serving in his first term as Sheriff of Livingston County.
The dinner will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 7:00 pm; and will be held at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 5768 E. Grand River Ave, Howell, MI 48843. There will be a VIP reception from 5:30 - 6:30 prior to dinner.
