David Barton, heads WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious, and constitutional heritage. David is the author of numerous best-selling books, with the subjects being drawn largely from his massive library-museum of tens of thousands of original writings, documents, and artifacts from early America. State Representative Lana Theis (R-Brighton) will serve as the Master of Ceremonies that evening. Lana Theis serves as an Assistant Floor Leader in the Michigan House of Representatives and is currently serving in her second term as state representative for the 42nd district. January 26, 2017 Livingston County Convention Update

UPDATED AFTER CONVENTION Thank you to everyone who attended the convention; and congratulations to everyone who was elected as a delegate and those who were elected as an alternate delegate. Click here to see the list the official delegate to convention and alternate to convention results.   The January 2017 Livingston County Republican Convention will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Crystal Gardens, 5768 E Grand River Ave, Howell, MI 48843. It is the same place we have held the last two conventions, on Grand River just west of Dorr Road. The convention will start at 7:00 pm sharp and will be using the electronic voting software once again. We will be electing 58 delegates and up to 58 alternates to attend the Michigan Republican Party State Convention, which will be February 10th and 11th at the Lansing Center. On Friday, delegates will be electing the new 8th District Republican Leadership as well as Michigan Republican Party State Committee members from our district. The Livingston Leader Newsletter (August Primary 2016 )

WHAT IS OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIRECTION? This August, we will make our decision in the direction of most of our local governments. Barring some late entries by No Party Affiliation candidates, most of the candidates who win the August Primary will be unopposed this November. Therefore, from a Livingston County prspective, this is the most important election right here. The Livingston County Republican Party (LCRP) does not officially endorse in primaries, nor does LCRP spend party money in primary races. Continue reading
