We have been presented with a number of names and address from our families in Livingston County who have husbands, wives, sons and daughters fighting for our safety overseas.
Come join our card and letter writing activity at the FMCenter on Saturday, January 16, From 1:30 - 3:30. Your are encouraged to come in anytime during those hours and write a letter or card, create your own card or picture, and chose who you would like to send it to (or we will pick a name).
Although our focus will be to send these letters and packages in time for Valentines Day, your messages are from you. The last group of letters were written by one of our members. She told us, when she sat down to begin writing, she found she had written a 2 page letter. She simply wrote things are her life and family in order to bring home closer to them.
SPEND JUST 1 HOUR WITH US TO MAKE THE DAY/WEEK/MONTH FOR SOMEONE AWAY FROM HOME.
If you care to donate 1 item for the packages we send to these service men and women, please bring it with you or at any time during our office hours. An alternative would be to donate $1 to help pay for the shipping of these boxes. |
